Greek Food - CAUTION: GRAPHIC

So these pictures were taken on my trip to Greece this summer. And I know that almost no one goes on the blogs anymore, but I still wanted to share these with the world :P

Orange Squares, Pasta, Coconut Macaroons, Bran Muffins

Hello everybody!
I hope everbody is having a nice summer holiday! So far, I've been cooking. Mostly pastries and desserts, but also some meals and breakfast foods!
So, the first pic is of orange squares. I usued lemon square recipe but substituted the lemon juice for orange juice.

This picture is of coconut macaroons. Delicious, I must say.

These bran muffins were made by me and my sister. They are very healthy. It's just that they get a bit dry the next morning. They're also not that sweet, but it's not that bad.

This pasta was made with linguini (or perhaps fettucini,) tomatos, grated feta cheese, balsamic vinegar, sauteed onion, and radishes.
SNAKES! There were actually six snakes in my garden the other day. No joke! I took my camera out as soon as I could but only one was left.
This is one from two days ago. On the steps to my house. Very scary when I walked down and saw a snake. They're supposed to be good for gardens though...

Snakes, Cupcakes, and Crepes

I'm sorry if you don't like snakes.
I thought this was really interesting.
Would you call this seeing snakes 'in the wild.'
Because they're in the bushes at the front of my house.
That's not exactly what I would call 'the wild.'
We've been seeing snakes at our house for several years.
There are at least two that frequent my yard, but in the last two
weeks, only one.

I made cupcakes. I love cupcakes. And I made a lot. Well... sorta. You know how usually recipes say that it makes so much more than when you make it? Like once I made 9 cookies when the recipe said it would make 63. I'm not joking. But this one actually made more. It made 24 mini cupcakes and 6 large.
They were zucchini cupcakes. Now, I know many of you don't like zucchini, but I love it.

Crepes!! These are crepes that I made before our trip to Quebec. I think this batch is one of the best that I've ever made because they were just thin enough. Usually I put too much batter, or I put just enough, but I forget to swirl it around until it's too late. You can kinda see how it's translucent.

My Cake for the Cake Walk

Hey again...
My cake looked sort of like planned. Except for the fondant breaking on me. Grrr...! And the cake falling down in the middle for no reason, and the fact that when I took it out of the pan, it broke a bit. But it'll taste amazing. It was a boy in either Kindergarten or grade 1 or something who chose it.
If I had had more time, I would of made it two tier, with a second smaller cake on top. I doubled the baking powder in this recipe (shhh...), so it was a bit taller than usual, and it looked decent. Definitely not my best cake.
Anyway, the pic:
